Rich has over 13 years project and programme management experience in the financial services, telecommunications and broadcast media sectors. During that time, he has built on his project delivery experience by successfully introducing new functions and processes into businesses including European and global assignments.
Rich is Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified, PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner and Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O) Foundation Certified.
In the past five years Rich has focussed on the introduction and development of various aspects of Project Management Offices (PMOs) such as PM frameworks & methodologies and PM training & certification. Within a multi-national world leader in communications systems, he was responsible for the introduction of PM Profession and Resource Management within the European Regional PMO, developing and rolling out a Project Management Delivery Framework to country PMOs. He has introduced a PMO from scratch as part of a change programme to evolve project management at a global media broadcast organisation.
More recently, Rich managed a programme to adopt consistent PM practices globally at a leading Investment Bank.
Furthermore Rich is actively involved with the UK Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI). Following his successful programme management of the Chapter's first full International Project Management Day conference with almost 200 paying delegates and corporate sponsors in 2007, Rich joined the Board of PMI UK as Director of Volunteer Co-ordination for a term in 2009.
